Port-royal is a clean hotel in a very nice neighbourhood, close to bus stops and metro stations. The rooms are quite spacious and the prices are rather low.The staff was kind and helpful. We didn't like the breakfast, but, you can always go to a cafe nearby. There 's also an indian restaurant next to the hotel that I suggest... more

I stayed at this little hole for a week. I got my dates mixed up and left a day early for the Loire. When I checked out and the owner reviewed my record, he didn't tell me that I had paid for one more night. When I realized my error upon arriving at my next destination, I immediately phoned him... more

Although we were a bit anxious about the location of this hotel (knowing it is in the 'red light district') we found this hotel great value for money in a city where that quality is rare. Staff were helpful and courteous- pointing us in all of the directions we needed throughout our stay. The room was a lot more spacious... more

for 78.50e a night, this place was fine. Our room was facing the street & the street noise was sometimes very noisy (not helped ny impaitent police vehicles who constantly put their sirens on just to 'run' red lights). Location was great - far enough away from the hustle & bustle of the main tourist attractions, but close enough to... more

My friend and I stayed at the Port Royal Hotel in Paris for six days in September. Initially, I had been wary because of its only slightly average reviews on TripAdvisor, but our experience was perfectly satisfactory. Not being able to use a credit card didn't bother me at all. The only tiny inconvenience was having to re-confirm the booking... more

My husband and I just returned from a trip to France. We spent the first few nights in Paris at the Port Royal and found it exceeded our expectations. We booked a double room with en suite shower bath for 78.50 euro/night. Booking the hotel, unlike the previous reviewer, was quite easy. We emailed the hotel (in English) about availability... more

1. The location was OK. Very close (2 minutes) from les Gobelins metro station. It was a 5-minute walk to the start of rue Mouffetard (and its market). From the center of the 5th Arr, I actually usually walked the length of the rue Mouffetard, as I loved walking in that area. There was a market across the street from... more

Location: Port royal hotel is not exactly located near the places like Notre Dam, river siene, or Lourve... but if you dont mind walking then I would recommend you this place... its actually quite near Pantheon and from there you can also walk towards river siene (rest all you can find in travel guides) it has many cafes, restaurants, supermarkets... more

My son and I stayed in a twin room with bath/shower at this hotel for 12 nights. Positives:- cute room, quiet when windows shut, nice area, close to transport Negatives:- no TV, no internet, no air con, no food allowed in rooms, noisy with windows open, hot when windows closed, beds as hard as a rock, staff not very helpful,... more

Clean rooms, good location, and in our experience the staff was quite friendly and helpful (contrary to other reviewers). Overall a great value, but there is one problem with this hotel. On a summer evening the rooms are quite warm so you will want to open your windows. The courtyard is small and acts like an echo chamber, and since... more
