we had a private room for 2 ensuite. sheets, room & bathroom were clean. room overlooking the street but it was nice and quiet ...no cupboard/storage space at all in the room, only had bed, 2 chairs and a small tiny table. we had to live out of our suitcases......still for the price ~E70 for the room per nite, that... more

When I'm choosing a hostel, I am looking at three things: Price, cleanliness, and security. I stayed at Le Village for four days last year, and it definitely was a winner on all three counts. We had a 2 bed private room with ensuite shower and toilet, overlooking the street. Everything was squeaky clean, the beds were comfortable, and staff... more

This place was HORRIBLE!!!! I only needed to stay one night, so got a bunk in a 3 bed co-ed dorm. Me and the 1 other person in the room had both checked in that day, but the room was a WRECK!!! The beds were still dirty from the last people that stayed there. All of their trash and even... more

i stayed in le village for 2 nights as a solo traveler in a 6 bed mixed dorm. the room wasn't very spacious but very clean and probably redone recently. separate toilet and bathroom ensuite plus a sink in the room was great. breakfast served till 10am consists of tea/coffee, orange juice, croissant, roll and jam plus corn flakes. All... more

There are two really big good points with Le Village. 1. Good location. Montmarte is a really good place to stay: pretty and interesting to walk around, and Sacre Coeur is a good place to visit – the view over Paris from the park in front is wonderful. There are lots of good bars and restaurants too - I really... more

We had a privte room which was very nice. We were impressed how nice bathroom was for a hostel had our own bath in room . But we did not like staying in monmartre. It is not a good neighborhood. I would not have felt safe walking through there late at night. The whole area is alot of small tourist... more

Le Village was the perfect hostel for my time in Paris. I stayed in two different kinds of facilities, one shared 4-person bedroom and one 2-person studio apartment. Both were fantastic! I had a great view of Sacré-Cœur through my window. The breakfast was great, the beds were comfortable, and most of the staff was absolutely wonderful! They were very... more

First, a note on location. I booked it without looking at a map of Paris, enticed by one of the best value-to-rating ratios I could find at the time, so I had no idea that the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, at the bottom of which this hostel is located, was so far away from the main touristy zones of Paris. The metro... more

There was some event going on in Paris and I couldn't find a hotel that could accomodate a mom with three small children who had to either stay in the same room or in connecting rooms. At 9, 6 and 4 years old, we couldn't split up into separate rooms. One receptionist at another hotel recommended the Village. No, it's... more

They don't give you sheets unless you pay for it, so you should have your own otherwise pay a bit more expensive (charges per night) If you have sheets, this hotel can be one of the cheapest in Paris. So if you are looking for cheap deal, I can recommend this place. Good points: The shared shower room was very... more
