The hotel was good - location was excellent, within 15 minutes walk to the Louvre and Place de la Concord, rooms were small but clean, decor was fresh (repainting was going on while we were there) and it was generally very nice. The only problem is with breakfast - the breakfast room seats 16, in a hotel with room for... more

We stayed on the first floor, which was quite noisy as the Reggae music from the cafe was played all the time. Its beside what looked like a homeless kitchen in the square which became roudy at night, and the area itself is quite poor. They only gave us "one hour" passes to the internet at first which was a... more

Room was extremely small. Not much space in lobby. There was an extremely unhelpful and rude concierge on Sunday. They also try very hard to sell you their airport shuttle service and tours. more

I booked this hotel for one night only, simply for the convenience as I was leaving early from Gare St Lazare. The fact that it is immediately opposite the station is the only good thing about it. The room was small (but most Paris hotels are) and reasonably clean but the top cover on the bed had stains which I... more

We booked The Austin St Lazare last minute 3 days before we went to Paris. The hotel looked nice on its website and the prices were very good for that part of Paris. We were very central and could walk almost everywhere, it only take 15 minutes to walk to the Louvre! The hotel was clean and there was always... more

Needed a relatively good standard hotel for a reasonable outlay for myself and 17yr daughter. I spent many hours/days searching and checking the various websites then cross checking with this website for reviews. I was very relieved to finally arrive and find that it was quite reasonable particularly for the price (breakfast included). The staff were welcoming and hospitable. The... more

I have just returned today from a three night stay at Austins St Lazare. I stayed there for a long weekend 10 years ago as a student and so, when I needed to book something this time for just me and didn't want to spend a fortune, I decided on booking somewhere that was already familiar to me. And so... more

It is very convenient location : Just 5 minutes walking to Gallery Lafayette, such famous department store. To access subway stations are also convenient. I think they don't have air con inside of the room so it will be very very hot in the summer time, maybe. My room was at 7th floor but lift is upto 6th floor. So... more

I just spent the weekend in Paris and stayed in Austin's Saint Lazare hotel. It was just the ticket for me! I was able to walk to just about everything, from Montmartre down to the river. Museums, shopping and just plain site-seeing were all easy to get to. Being across from the train station made it easy for me to... more
