How anyone can rate this hotel at anything better than awful puzzles me. Perhaps some floors of the hotel are better than others. From my experience, this hotel has not been decorated properly for 30-40 years. The paintwork is crumbling everywhere. It is apparent on arrival that the reception is chaotic. A fake computer sits at the corner of the... more

This hotel had to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Firstly, they mixed up the booking so I was sent to a another hotel for the first night then I (unfortunately) returned to this place! Room was tiny, bed was awful, TV had only French channels, shower was broken with the drain not draining, toilet was wobbly-... more

I booked this hotel with three friends for a weekend. We were on a budget, not expecting much from this hotel. But the hotel could not even meet our extremely low expectations. Once we arrived we were told that there was a problem, and the next night we would have to change rooms. That was fine with us. But the... more

Our stay in Paris was part of a school trip to London and Paris. We were a big group of students, and with our teachers we were counted all together 28 heads. Fortunalty for us we had a tight program in Paris, cause the hotel was not that grate. We arrived early, so we left our luggage in the breakfast... more

My class mates and I stayed three nights at Hotel Altona in Paris. The hotel was small and the hallway was narrow. The room was okay, but it smelled like paint. We all got headaches by staying there, so we tried to spend as much time we got in someone’s other room. On top at the smell of paint, we... more

I spent three nights at the Hotel Altona in Paris with my classmates from Norway. I did not have high expectations of the hotel, as we went on a low budget trip, and it was perhaps just as well. The first thing that struck me as I openede the door to the room was that i could hear the neighbor... more

I don’t understand how the hotel earned two stars. It’s definitely one of the cheapest hotels in Paris. The only positive I can say about this hotel is that the staff was helpful and somewhat nice. And of course, it’s located close to the metro. In the evening, and at night, I would not recommend anyone to walk alone. I... more

The hotel rooms had bad standard. It was a really small room, with very little space for our suitcases. We also had some problems flushing the toilet. Besides we could even hear our neighbours pee! The breakfast was no good with only toast with butter and jam, and a orangejuice that tasted really bad! Therefore I would not recommend this... more

Help full staff and nice room cleaning. A cheap stay, with simple breakfast. This hotel is not that close to the center of Paris and facilities, but the gigantic metro system and taxi makes every attractions close. I would recommend this hotel if you don't got high expectations to the rooms, facilities at the hotel and location. With this hotel... more

This hotel is not for thouse who want luxyry apartments in the center of Paris. Here is only two stars, but here we have: perfect location - 2 mins to Gare du Nord railway station, 3 mins to Gare du Nord and Possionare metro stations, 15 mins to Lafayette shop, quiet Faubourg Poissonnière street, food store near hotel working till... more
