We had the apartment in the 6th floor that offers a nice terrasse and view over the roofs of the 2nd district. 6th floor without elevator, the only negative point for my girlfriend ;) The apartment was quiet big for paris, one bedroom including shower, toilet and a big livingroom with kitchen and a couch you also can use as... more

If you don't like walkups, this tiny hotel is not for you, as there is a cramped, narrow staircase and no elevator. But it's an amazing feeling to go up 6 (small) flights of stairs, open the door and be in a large, renovated one-bedroom apartment with living room, dining area and kitchenette which is fully equipped with microwave, coffee... more

My partner and I stayed here in May after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. Have to say that we were not let down. The hotel's main attraction for us is the location...very very close to the Metro Chatelet, walking distance (about 10 minutes or less) to Notre Dame, Louvre etc. We would often stroll up the river at night and... more

I was really happy with my stay at Le Petit Chatelet April 2007. Especially for the price as it was inexpensive for the 1st district. Plus it was clean, comfortable and convenient. I stayed on the 2nd floor, which I recommend unless you are fine with hauling your luggage up the tiny, spiral staircase. Note: there are no outlets in... more

In my opinion this hotel represents EXCELLENT value for money, and combines character and low price with a fantastically convenient location. It is situated above (and run by) a blues-y music bar--to get to the hotel you go through to the back of the bar, climb over some double basses(!), go through a sort of secret door into another world.... more

We stayed there at the end of our holiday for 2 days. It's a brilliantly located hotel - right in the heart of everything. Near the tube, Pompidou centre, hotel-de-ville and the Marais. The staff were very friendly. As others mentioned, there's no lift and the stairs are winding and plentiful. The room was clean but very, very basic. The... more

We stayed at Le Petit Chatelet for three nights. This is a basic hotel, a little battered but clean and comfortable. The reception was great. They were very kind. The stairs could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues as they are quite narrow and there is no lift. It is on a busy street and there was some... more

I stayed at Le Petit Chatelet for 10 days on business in December 2005. I have lived in Paris before and know the area well. This is a great location because it is at Metro Chatelet which is the central hub for the entire city, where many metro lines and a couple RER (suburban train) lines coverge. Its location makes... more
