This was my second stay at this hotel, and did not disappoint. As a base to explore it is excellent, only 10 minutes walk from Gare du Nord, and not much further to the main streets to the south. We recently stayed at this hotel. I don't understand how it gets good reviews. The room was not clean. The carpet was dirty, the ceiling needed repair and during our three days there the same dirty sock from a previous guest remained under the bed. Do they ever vacuum? Great value. The room was small, the bathroom terribly small but we knew that when we booked - it was plenty for what we needed. Good location - close to metro stations. The staff was friendly & welcoming - and we do not speak French! Room was clean & the bed was comfortable. more

Just a one night stop but the staff were friendly, let us check-in early, no question about the pre-payment for the room. Room was small, but newly refitted bathroom was good, hot water, nice shower. Great choice for Paris! We loved the Riboutte Lafayette - great location, nice room and excellent bathroom. 25 minutes walk to the Louvre, approximately the same to Sacre Cour, eight minutes from the Opera.
