I and my wife were in the Hotel Monte Carlo during 6 days in the end of October. It was a best stay. We had a pleasant reception by Tomas, manager’s hotel, he indicated us good restaurants, the best areas of Paris and many tips. The hotel is very well located, near from a lot of restaurants, bars and also... more

First of all the greatest thing about this hotel is location! We were staying 4 nights and we visited all Paris: direct metro line 7 to go to Museum of Louvre, direct line 8 to Eiffel Tower and boat tours, Opera and Galleries La Fayette are 10 min max by foot, Montmartre is at 20 min walking. Secondly, the hotel... more

I only stayed here for one night, despite paying for two (delayed flight). The hotel was clean and tidy in both the rooms and in the reception, staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was basic, toast or cereal with a selection of hot or cold drinks but was at a surprised cost, which was not advertised? Toilet and Shower are... more

Helpful staff. Would recommend this to anyone. Our room very clean. Wifi worked fine in family room. Rooms compact but think this normal for this class of hotel. Family room fine for 2 adults and a ten year old. Central location to all major sites with added advantage of being between two metro lines for choice of routes. Large multicultural... more

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in October and was overall pleased with my stay. The hotel is centrally located, within a 10 minute walk to the Opera / Galleries Lafayette, and roughly 20 minute walk to the Louvre. Many restaurants, cafes and bakeries are located nearby. Le Peletier metro station is just around the corner which is... more

Let's start from the good part: the hotel is located in Rue du Faubourg Montmartre, in a very nice neighborhood full of restaurants and cafes. I paid 110 euro for a single room, a price not excessive considering how expensive are hotel rooms in Paris. Rooms are really tiny: the single room can barely contain the bed and a small... more

The Monte Carlo is located in the 9th arrondisement. To my taste this is as interesting a neighborhood as the latin quarter, montmartre or any of the other more famous ones. Every possible ethnic group, social class is represented there. There is an orthodox jewish section. It is the center for stamp collectors, antiques. There are literally dozens of restaurants... more

I recently stayed here for three nights on my way through Paris to Ireland. I am a solo traveler and am most concerned about affordability balanced with a clean, safe and convenient location. I got it all at this hotel. The staff spoke enough English to help me check in and find my way around the city. It was right... more

The Hotel Monte Carlo is a great little hotel with really friendly staff who are extremely helpful. Thomas (sp?) on reception was excellent giving directions to anywhere we wanted to go and was very polite when we tried to use our very poor French, replying in excellent English! The 8 Euro breakfast buffet was extremely good - the best coffee... more

We booked the Monte Carlo at the last minute and didn't know what to expect, other than the reviews we read here. We were relieved when it turned out to be a very comfortable and clean hotel located in a calmer area of lower Montmartre. Sacre Coeur and several cute pedestrian-only streets are easily walkable, and the central museum/Seine area... more
