Prison inmates would have more comfortable lodgings. The room was extremely small and the bathroom was approximately 2m x 2m in dimension. For €80 per night, I felt extremely slighted. Some friends of ours stayed approximately 200m from us and paid the same price for a newly renovated 30 m₂ room. The location is very good in terms of proximity... more

Room: The only good thing about this hotel is a presence of a safe in the room (although even the safe is missing a handle). The room is absolutely tiny: the bed takes up 80% of the space and is difficult to walk around. The desk/table is tiny and has no plugs around it, making it impossible to use for... more

Boulevard Magenta is a busy road and Hotel Alane is right on it. The room is small, so too the shower but this is standard for Paris Hotels. The WiFi didn't work, there was signal but no password was offered by the staff because "the WiFi was not working". The breakfast was very average and additional to my room rate.... more

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, and was really pleased to check out and leave. The rooms and bathrooms - and in fact the entire hotel - are outdated, very small, and definately more cramped than other hotels in Paris that I have stayed in. However, once you've turned off the lights and try to go to sleep... more

We stayed here for 3 nights, room was small but we knew that this is the case in a lot of Paris hotels. Very convenient to the train station. if we were to go back l would prefer somewhere with air conditioning as the temperatures were mid 30's, but if you don't mind excessive heat it is a reasonable location... more

Room was clean but incredibly small. Balcony had multiple piles of cigarettes--cleaning people apparently never check the balcony. Price decent, location good for train travelers. Amazing how they fit a sink, a toilet, and a shower in the tiny bathroom. Had to get out of the shower to put soap on my feet as not enough room to raise up... more

I spent two nights at this hotel in 2006, February, 10. Concerning its location, I can say that's the only thing I didn't dislike: it's pretty well-located; Boulevard Magenta is near the city center. The subway station Gare de l'Est is five minutes distance from the hotel. There's also Gare du Nord train station, which is situated also in the... more

My friend and I stayed at this hotel during a brief stop over in Paris. We stayed in a room with two single beds and it was pretty small. We had quite a few pieces of luggage with us, so the room felt somewhat cramped. However, the hotel was really clean and the staff hospitable. Breakfast in the lower level... more
