We have three small children but didn't want to book two rooms as that gets quite expensive so I called the hotel directly to explain that there were five of us but we only wanted to book one room. They were quite pleasant and said that that would be no problem. The room was on the first floor and was... more

Booked it through their website which clearly stated, "air-conditioned" rooms. Booked for 4 nights, a quadruple room with attached shower, their policy was to pay for one night at the time of booking and the rest to be paid at check-out. After booking online, I called to confirm the booking and to confirm the fact that their is air-conditioning. We... more

I stayed here in a room with 2 other friends. Firstly, with 3 beds, the room was extremely squeezy. There wasnt enough room even to put our luggage and walk comfortably. The chambermaids dont understand english, and barge into your room in the morning to make it up, even if you're still sleeping or getting dressed. The bathroom is extremely... more

We stayed at the Hotel Amelot in Paris for 2 nights, having booked two rooms. I booked the rooms online, and a few weeks before our trip, I emailed to confirm our reservations. I was assured everything was in order. When we arrived, I was informed that there were FOUR rooms in my name, and was told that I would... more

Hi! I go to Paris every year with my family (12-18 people) and we always look for a nice hotel in good locations. This year, after booking almost a month before, we had to cancel part of the reservation a week before the trip. In any other hotel, this wouldn't be a problem, but in the Grand Hotel Amelot you... more

Great location in a vibrant and safe part of Paris. Close to metro stations, but you can easily walk to the centre (Nôtre Dame). The rooms are clean. Only comment is that the redecoration of the rooms appears not to be done by professionals. (ex: spilled paint, loosse fittings, etc...) Breakfast is ok for 5,00 EUR. Try resaurant "Le petit... more

The hotel was nice, clean, homely, welcoming and safe. We had a triple room between 3 girls which wasn't too bad with 1 bathroom. The reception staff were nice, they do mainly speak french but great experience, the staff are really helpful; Rosa and Monsef. The hotel is in a fantastic location with Republique and Bastille within 10 mins walk... more

Although this hotel is in a good location - very close to the Bastille - and is also clean, we came away disappointed. There were 2 main reasons. 1. The staff were not very interested in their clients and had next to zero knowledge of the area and the street plan they had was 20 years old and was missing... more
