This hotel was just awful. If Dirty, small rooms. Walls are very thing, so it's a noisy place. The bathrooms are extremely small: I'm a fairly thin, but tall, person and I had a lot of trouble moving around. (When I shaved, my arms actually bumped the door open). You do get a continental breakfast of a croissant, bread, and... more

Dear Guest, We thank you very much for your review. The hotel pavillon opera lafeyette is a 2 stars hotel and the size of the room is standard. Also, We apologise if there were some noise during your stay, but the hotel is in a quite street and we can't be responsible for the noise in the city. The last...

We booked through Eurostar but frankly expected more, even from a 2* hotel. We expected basic & functional which is pretty much what we got - it was VERY basic & just about functional. Standard of cleanliness was very good, housekeeping did a good job. Breakfast was more than adequate & of good standard.. Thought the hotel itself had a... more

Management response from
TESTI, The Manager

Dear Guest, I apologise for this misunderstanding. The manager of the hotel is not in front of the hotel Pavillon Opera Lafayette. But that day, there were in the street and they see you entering the hotel with food. Nobody see you in your room. Best Regards. The reception.

The experience with this hotel didn't start off very well when trying to figure out the best route from Gare Du Nord to here, with a very basic recommendation of Cadet metro station with no further directions, no maps, nothing. Anvers station seemed like the easiest route once we had found the place and decided to go for a wander.... more

I stayed here for a week in July 2009. The entrance is lovely and clean and staff are friendly. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was good and exceptoionally filling. After having breakfast at 8am we didnt feel hungry until mid afternoon. Rooms are basic but that is reflected in the price. However, on our first morning we pulled back... more

Everything else was OK in this hotel, except for BED BUGS!! I thought I had a great stay, when I come home and have bug bites starting to pop up- aparently they might not show up up to 9 days after the bite. Also, if you stayed there and haven't been bit- don't think you're safe- bed bug bites don't... more

I stayed for two nights in this hotel and I wish it had been a wonderful experience that I could recommend to others, but I can't. I was so severely chewed up by bed bugs that I've had fantasies of jumping in front of a bus to end my misery. When I went to see my doctor to see if... more

Staying at this hotel has left me with a contagious infection unable to leave my house, go to work or see anyone. My partner and I had chosen to spend 2 nights in a disneyland hotel and 3 nights in Paris for some culture. On arrival at the hotel the staff were friendly and the entrance was clean and bright.... more

Dear Guest, First of all we apologise for the inconvenient during your stay. The hotel Pavillon opera Lafayette doesn't have any problem of cleanness. The bugs are in most case bring by the traveller during there stay in our hotel. Anyhow, we had resolved this problem in the room. Best regards. The manager.

Just returned from a lovely three nights stay in Paris – the hotel is ideally located about 15 minutes walk from the Gard du Nord and about 15 minutes walk to Montmartre. We stayed in room 51 which was near the elevator which concerned us a little, but in terms of noise levels, except for the odd strand of conversation... more

As with previous reviews, couldn't fault the reception staff as they were charming and helpful, and the (clearly redecorated) lobby promised a clean, well run two star. The room we had turned out to be unmodernised, with mildew in the bathroom, peeling paper, stained carpet and a blocked sink. I have stayed in many hotels in Paris, and even some... more

Dear Guest, First of all, we thank you very much for giving your comments. The hotel made some renovation in the room (all the bathroom where renew and we change all the windows...) and we hope that we could give us a second chance to make your trip as good as possible in a 2 star hotel in Paris. Best...
