The Libertel Canal Saint Martin is a very basic hotel. We had a standard room, which was very small. The bathroom was also small and certainly in need of a renovation or at least repainting. You get what you pay for with this hotel, it is very basic, but it is cheap. It is close to one of the Metro stations but not as close to the Gare Du Nord as we were lead to believe. Booked this hotel for a short break with my Dad. For the price i knew it wasn't going to be the Ritz, but i was very pleantly suprised! After a 10/15 min walk from Gare Du Nord (and walking straight past the hotel for a futher 5 mins, because we completly missed it - its not obvious from the road!)... more
