I stayed two nights Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 November 2009. Usually I stay at the Mercure opposite Gare du Nord but they were asking EUR 200 per night, so I decided to try the Mercure at Gare de l'Est at half the price (EUR 102). It is about 10 mins from Nord and 5 from Est on foot. So... more

Decent hotel but extremely difficult to locate from Gare De Est station. Though very near, nobody in the area seem to know about the hotel. Rooms are cosy & decent. Front desk service was good. Housekeeping is bad & rooms were not vaccumed during our stay. For 300Euro a night, one expects atleast good drinking glasses. They only provide plastic... more

The hotel was bit hard to find at first. Even a local did not know when we showed them the address. Guess what it was across the street when we looked up. The front door is on a little side street. If you see McDonald look across the street. The front desk was a small area and check in was... more

When we checked in,we were quickly shown to our room. The lobby and room were very small. They have all the basic facilities there. The price of the room was affordable. We like dining at Hippo restaurant which was a walking distance. They served nice steaks and fries. more

This was my first time in paris so I did not know what to expect, but I found the hotel clean, comfortable and our room was very spacious. The bed was also very comfortable, with clean white sheets ansd even though there was only one pillow each they were also extremely comfy. The breakfast was very good, ranging from scrambled... more

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights over Valentines day. I was a bit dubious after reading some of the reviews but the hotel was brilliant. It was clean, well laid out with a spacious bathroom. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was varied and plentiful and we only had a 3 minute walk to the nearest metro... more

We stayed here for 4 nights and overall it was alright for a 3 star hotel (given the price we paid for!). Finding the hotel was a nightmare though it was about 5 mins from Gare de l'Est as it's hidden except for the Pink signage (if you can spot from across the road). Hotel staff were friendly and we... more

Rooms average size, clean and pleasent, bathroom/showerroom small but adiquate modern and very clean. Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from and in a unique setting of a cellar. We are a family of 4 who spent 3 nights in the Mercure Paris Boulevard Magenta. The hotel was nice and clean and easy to find when we arrived at Gare du Nord from the CDG airport. We had 2 rooms, a bit small but absolutely OK when you compare the price. The staff was very kind and always prepared... more
