My partner and I (well finance i should now say now) stayed in the Tamaris Hotel for 3 nights. 9th - 12 Oct. Was really worried about what was in store for us after reading the reviews but was plesantly surprised. We had room 530. It was fairly small but had a great power shower and an adequate bathroom. Towels... more

We stayed in this hotel, with a one year old baby. We had pre-booked a cot for the room. When we arrived, we were in the smallest room possible, with no sign of a cot. The night porter was very unhelpful, and the only thing that he did was give us a camp bed to put in the room so... more

I treated myself to a taxi from Chatelet les Halles to the Tamaris hotel, to find a polite lady, who told me the hotel was full and gave me a voucher for another hotel, the Etap Hotel. It's just round the corner she said. Had to lug my suitcase another 20 minutes down the road, and stayed at the totally... more

This hotel looked awful and we were treated awful too. When we arrived the directions given from their web site was incorrect so we ended up walking miles out of our way and the French were not helpful to us when we asked for directions. When we finally arrived, they did not have us booked in so we got carted... more

Cleanliness: The hotel is clean. The room is cleaned everyday not thoroughly but its done. Location: The hotel is near the boulevard peripherie. So its quite out of the main tourist areas. Otherwise the location is good, the metro is a 100 m walk. You can go up to nation and catch the main lines there. Also disneyland can be... more

The hotel is without frills and the surroundings are not encouraging. However, once inside, the hotel has recently been refurbished (apart from the stair/lift area which is a bit past its best). My room - superior single, was all you could want for a short stay. The outlook outside was not great and the proximity of flats etc imply that... more

My wife and myself have just returned from awonderfull long weekend in Paris. We stayed at the Tamaris hotel room 317 and found the hotel incredible value for money full of charm and the staff very helpfull and friendly. The room was very clean though small which is par for the course in Paris. The Croissants at breakfast were yummy.... more

I wasn't sure what to expect on arrival at this hotel as it is the lowest priced of any of the hotels I have stayed at in Paris, just £43 inc. breakfast for a single room. On arrival I was greeted by friendly staff and shown how to operate the quaint old lift which Michael the receptionist tells me is... more

The hotel is conveniently located near the metro Vincennes which is a metro line that takes you to many of the city hotspots. There is however not that much of interest in the immediate vicinity so you're always on the metro. There are some eating places and shops however nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom... more

My boyfriend and I stayed in Paris for a week, so we spent 7 nights in the hotel. Yes, the lift is extremely cramped! We couldn't both fit in with our luggage, so we had to go up separately. Sometimes the lift wouldn't work, because the last person in had left the doors open...thus we had to walk up/down the... more
