I found this hotel when, with less than a week to go, I was desparately trying to find a room available in Paris for the night of the Rugby World Cup. Despite many hotels taking advantage and hiking their prices, the Belidor still only charged us 60 Euros for an ensuite room. When we arrived we found that we had been booked into a double room rather than a twin. The guy on reception could not have been more helpful and although all the twins were gone offered us a second double room at a reduced rate of 40 Euros. Both rooms were basic but clean and pleasant and well-aired. The receptionist was also very helpful in giving us a street & metro map and directions to the stadium. The Belidor is 50m from a lively Irish bar called the James Joyce and only just round the corner from the Meridien hotel. The metro is a 5 minute walk away. I would definitely recommend this hotel as cheap, basic accommodation suitable for this sort of stay. more
