Although a very 'plain jane' look to the Alexandrie, the hotel is a tight ship. The front desk people were all very friendly and spoke english. The rooms were clean, air conditioned and the coffee in the morning was excellent. The bed & shower was a little small for my partner (6'2", 200lbs), but we managed. more

We got a great price for this hotel (cheaper than what they quote on their website) and so decided to stay for 4 nights. I have never written one of these before but best to avoid this hotel. Beware that the very disapointing breakfast is 12 Euros a head and the rooms aircon doesn't work. We had 2 rooms on opposite ends of the building and neither air con worked. Website looks fabulous but don't believe it. You should be abe to do better. more
