my daughter and i booked hotel de la comete for our stay in paris over the new year. the room was like a bathroom the bed was were the beth used to be! surrounded by tiles. the bed covers were old fashioned and horrible not a nice place to stay ever. we ended up moving out and checking into gare... more

I stayed at “Hotel de la comète” in August/September for one week. LOCATION The hotel is in the 19 “arrondissement” (district), which is a bit uptown. There are two metro-lines right across the street. It takes only a few stops and you’re downtown, so that is absolutely no problem. The gare du nord is a 20-minutes-walk away. This hotel is literally right next to the Jaurès metro station. It isn't in the heart of Paris, but then, you'd pay easily three times as much to stay in the heart of Paris. Hotel de la Comete is a good place to stay in Paris. The prices are decent, and the rooms clean (and they come with shampoo, decent water pressure with warm water and our room had a cute view of a garden-esque walkway) though the colors left a little to be desired, sea foam green on the walls and coral pink... more
