On first sight, this hotel is hideous, numerous suspicious stains on the walls and carpet, dodgy plumbing, stank of cigarette smoke and to cap it all, an incredibly scary third world area - all that was missing was the fully burnt out cars and rioting. However, we we were for the England vs France Rugby semi and the hotel was pretty full of fellow England fans.

The hotel comes into its own here because it is very good for the Stade de France (2k walk). Firstly, drive from Calais as you are close to the Paris orbital motorway, park in the very secure parking (5 EUR) - 6 ft high walls and thick metal safe-like gate so your new car is safe from the near burnt out ones outside. The bedlinen and towelling was clean (too scared to look at the mattress), everything else is not very nice, there was a telly, funny code number door locks easy to lose the paper with the code. But the best thing is 40 EUR cost per night only. I'll probably use this again for a lads expedition but... more
