We stayed here for 3 nights mid week. 5 minute walk to La cite main gate made it a much cheaper option to the hotels within the cite . Pleasant, if small, room overlooking swimmimng pool, flat screen TV with BBC world plus Kettle etc. Very helpful; staff on desk. Did not eat in the hotel at all but a... more

We enjoyed three nights here, in order to visit Carcassonne - the old city - 5 minutes -perfect. We then found the petit train was ideal to travel cheaply down to the Bastide and the canal for a trip on the second Heritage Site in Carcassonne. The staff in the hotel were very efficient but always welcoming. The only downside... more

Just outside the gates of Carcassonne Cite - so location perfect. Newly refurbished swimming pool was a very pleasant bonus. The hotel is immaculate with large rooms and huge beds. Busy hotel but added to the atmosphere.. Had a lovely meal on the last night and the restaurant is really lovely (and busy) and had a great atmosphere. Just watch... more

Nice hotel, modern and clean rooms, but could not get served at the bar. The French people who came in afterwards got served though! We waited 30 minutes and walked out. We would have walked right out of the hotel had we not prepaid!! more

We spent two nights here - one at either end of a week in France. The location was very good - 5 minutes walk from the busy medieval city but nice and quiet. Our first room was very nice but a bit small and no minibar (no drinks machines and no shops nearby so managed to buy water in hotel... more

A nice enough hotel and parking is included in the price. But watch out, there are a few snags. Whatever you do don't eat in their restaurant! The maitre d' has an ego problem to say the least. The waiters, while well-meaning and pleasant, are untrained and clearly very temporary staff. It took three goes to get the dish I... more

We stayed for 2 nights in the Mercure Carcassonne, paying €120 per night B&B. The buffet breakfast was fine, with multiple hot & cold options. The restaurant serves dinner, but we didn’t try it for an evening meal. It’s possible to eat out on the terrace. The service in the hotel was professional and friendly. There’s a free internet terminal... more

This hotel is in a fabulous location to Carcassonne city, just a short 5 minute walk. For the price you pay, you can not grumble! OK, so we only had one towel in the bathroom but maybe the chambermaid was having a bad day! Very convenient (free) parking. Internet is 9.90E for 24 hours. Can't say anything about food because... more
