High on restored 'quaint' but otherwise rather lacking. Such a pity as everyone including the staff wanted it to be good. Breakfast was OK but supervised by someone aggressively wiping down earlier tables (at 9am - in southern France) so forget being able to talk. A great place with character and charm set in a peaceful location surrounded by fields. We stayed at Demeure des Brousses last year for my cousin's wedding. Montpellier was completely new to us and we had a really fabulous time. The route you take to the hotel seems a bit unprepossessing to be honest - it's on the outskirts of the town and they were doing some development of some of the sites around there... more
