The Hotel Imperator is wonderfully situated close to the Jardins de la Fontaine and a short walk away from the centre and beautiful Roman buildings. It feels spacious and airy. We felt we were going back in time. Unfortunately this is only too true because this potentially excellent hotel obviously suffers from lack of investment in the things that matter... more

It is true that the rooms and hall ways need to be renovated, but overall it was very acceptable. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean, and the location was just great. Their breakfast was fine, and the main floor rooms and garden were really very nice. more

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Globus La France tour. Some of the people on the tour had very large rooms, some very small. I saw one of the larger rooms and it appeared to be nice. We had the misfortune to have a very small room. The walls had large black smears on them. The bathroom... more

I stayed at this hotel in July 2009 and this is the worst 4 star hotel i ever saw in my life. Furniture and bathroom fittings were old and dirty. the room was quite dusty. none of the service staff spoke english and was not helpful at all. i would never recommend this to anyone and will never come back... more

This hotel has a great location, but has clearly seen better days. The decor and furnishings are tired and stained, but remnants of its former glories, including the charming lift and attractvie interior courtyard provide some compensation. The breakfast buffet looks good, but does not bear close examination. The coffee is appalling, and while there is a good selection of... more

We stayed at this hotel in April 2009 for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay ,with a few reservations. Once we got into our room (10 minutes to work out the lock) we found it to be a bit tired but very clean and for France very roomy. The staff were extra helpful and were only too happy to... more

We stayed for 1 night in October 2008, taking a junior suite (Hemingway). Though roomy, it was dirty and shabby (dark rings around all light switches, stains on carpet etc). It looked like it had not been refurbished in at least 20-30 years. The hotel was a little difficult to find with only average driving instructions given. However once there,... more

I stayed at the hotel with a tour group. The rooms are a bit different from each other. We had a really large bathroom but other's talked about a really small bathroom. The hotel was within walking distance to the center of town with lots of shopping and restaurants to pick from. We had a great breakfast with many choices.... more

I stayed at the Imperator Concorde on September 22, 2008. I found it to be the worst of the hotels I got to stay at during my Globus tour of France. For starters, the bathroom in my single room (room 115) was so small I had to back up in order to use the toilet. I asked other members about... more

from this hotel, bullfighters make their way to the arena during the Feria. It has a long association with bullfighting; a great tradition in this southern French town which dates back to Roman times. Rooms are comfortable (some large) and elegant. There is a hint of faded charm. The hotel is very well located for all local attractions. There is a most charming... more
