Came to Nîmes for a concert at the famed Arena, but all the hotels in the town centre were fully booked except for those situated in the suburbs, where the Best Western Nimotel is. Booked 2 rooms for a night stay at end of August. This is a very basic hotel. We had to change one of the rooms as there was a smell in it. The rooms are not pleasantly decorated. The Nimotel is one of a number of hotels in the Parc Hotelier Ville Active. Booked 5 nights online in a superior room here, though on arrival they told us they were fully booked so we were put in a standard room for the first night. Best Western Hotel. Les Aubans. Tired, scruffy and overpriced. Filthy swimming pool and very average continental (just) breakfast. Same bloke on at 10 at night, doing breakfast, doing bills - in fact everywhere! Would NOT want to repeat the experience. more
