This IBIS at Perpignan Sud was tricky to find being somewhere west of Perpignan in an industrial area.It is located right next to an ETAP hotel.We chose it as it had a restaurant. Our welcome was fine and the manager immediately asked if we would like to dine with them. I told him I was vegetarian to which he called out the chef who said it would be no problem to provide vegetarian food for me. At 8pm we presented ourselves at the small dining room to be told that the menu was off as they were replacing their menu , though quite why that is used as an excuse for not having the menu on offer is not understood. Menus change daily and it seemed to me they were trying to force us onto A La carte which was very much more expensive.
There was almost nothing for vegetarians depsite the promise of the chef, and what was offered was about 25 euros, which I found far too expensive for a plate of vegetables in an Ibis hotel. We decided to cancel our meal at the hotel and head into the...
