Set up reservation by email from belgium. We tried to find a place just off the A20 on our way to Toulouse, and this fulfilled every wish. Country French charm, cute town, wonderful hosts, interesting other guests, good food, simple breakfast. more
We spent a night, with our little dog, in this delightful Chateau whilst travelling through France.
We chose it from the new Michelin "guesthouses in France".
it is a beautiful old chateau lovingly restored. It is a few minutes walk from a charming village and is just off the main A20 outside Limoges but we could not hear any traffic noise at all inside the house.
We had a beautiful large bedroom. The bathroom was in keeping with the chateau (but that means no shower!).
When we phoned to book the the hotel Ana Marie (the owner with her husband) said she would cook us dinner if there were other guests who requested it. We said fine. When we arrived down for dinner we were actually the only guests eating in - but they were more than happy to cook for us and we had a lovely meal. It was great to catch up with all our emails with the free wifi.
The next morning we had the best breakfast of our holiday in the beautiful kitchen...
