In brief:

Positives:
- Friendly staff at reception
- Generally clean bathrooms and showers
- Well-heated (even over-heated in summer)
- In a chateau, surrounded by parkland

Negatives:
- Long way from the centre of town - 45 minute walk minimum and the trams stop running at 11PM and the buses even earlier. Takes the edge off a night out in Nancy
- Smelly - whole of the interior smelled of sewage - I think there is a problem with the septic tank
- Noisy - lots of doors slam, and staff drag furniture around from around 9AM to midday every day in cleaning the place. Metal beds on concrete floors is not music to your ears if you want to catch up on some sleep. Also hosts other functions, like Sunday school, weddings, so can be other noisy events taking place. Remember your ear-plugs
- A few of the toilets had no seat on them. Should be replaced - they don't cost the earth
