After we arrived in Toulouse early in the morning we learned the hotel we reserved got cancelled on us. We happened to stumble in hotel de Bordeaux while looking for another hotel. It is located right across from the train station. We were tired from walking on our feet . The front desk guy(can't remember name)was kind and let us check in since the room was ready even though check-in wasn't until late afternoon. It was a clean room and was good enough for us for 2 nights. Even though it is nearby the station, we weren't bothered with any noise(wouldn't mind noise anyways; after all when you are traveling to different countries that's part of the culture and experience) and we slept with the windows open all night. Canal du midi is right front of the hotel even though I didn't see it until the next day since it is small and is more like ditches behind trees and parked cars. However, our overall experience with this hotel was great. It was rather cheap.
