Stopped for 24 hours on way home, very clean hotel , nice bar/restaurant area, very clean rooms of acceptable size, comfortable beds, flat screen TV (limited channels in English), Price OK. We were very surprised at Dunquerke, what a lovely clean town! The shops and bars were plentiful (and we tried several bars). It was so pleasant that my wife,... more

I stayed in the hotel yesterday. The room i was given faced a wall. The room itself was very average with poor fittings and marks over one of the walls. The bathroom was OK but could do with a refit. I did not try the restaurant too expensive. I decided to try a local restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Overall... more

Stayed with my family (children aged 10 and 12) for one night, because we rely on the Ibis quality, when we need an accomodation for a one night stay. Ibis Dunkerque is one of the worse Ibis hotels. Main critics go to the rooms. They are not only small by also a bit shabby. Interior seems to be 10 years... more

I know it's IBIS and you get what you pay for but those so called cheap European hotels are not that cheap after all ! It's true that rooms have been refurbished with tiny, flat TV screens. However, the wallpaper is already dirty and comes off here and there. Also considering the size of the room I cannot imagine putting... more

We stayed overnight on our way back from Holiday. Having stayed at the old Hotel Europa, we were expecting the same standard, but were pleasantly surprised with the room. The beds were very comfy and although the room was not overbig, it was decent. The bathroom was very nice and clean. We even had a flat screen TV. The staff are always... more

Decided to stay at the Ibis because of its convenient location. Was initially put off by the bad reviews, but a couple of the more recent ones said the hotel had been refurbished. This is true. The bedrooms have been refurbished and are excellent, comfy bed, TV, ensuite shower room. No tea/coffee making facilities - we took a travel kettle!... more

Stayed for one night as a stop over on our journey. It was adequate, clean and comfortable. It seems to have been refurbished since some of the reviews on this site as our room (2nd floor) and the bar, reception and restuarant all were fairly newly fitted out. Easy to find by car with underground parking at 7 euros per... more

This was a stop-off. The room was standard Ibis ie small. The parking was pretty limited and the place was in the middle of a redecoration. The Ibis service is pretty standard everywhere but this wasn't great. The guy on late night reception was not massively helpful and the breakfast was very overpriced. Avoid. more
