We were in Bayeux to explore the WWII sites. We stayed at the Best Western De Brunville from June 13-16, 2008. I made my reservations through the Best Western web site and I would recommend that you do the same to get the best rate. The hotel was okay. Don't expect luxury – although why would you if you are... more

We stayed here for two nights with a party of WW11 veterans whom we had brought to Normandy to see where they were all those years ago. This hotel is not very nice. No air con and the small room was so stuffy we had no choice but to have the windows open all the time. We had a room... more

We were in Bayeux to explore the WWII sights, so we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel. We stayed 4 nights in mid-November. We booked a room with 2 twin beds, to avoid a small double bed directly through the best western website. The room was very small, but what you would expect for older European hotels.... more

This hotel was a nightmare to find as roads were blocked and everyone we asked didn't know where it was. I booked 2 single beds but when the room was next to elevator, we had to take a double bed room. The room was very small but clean. The bathroom was nice but no shampoo and no information in room.... more

We were looking for a clean, inexpensive room from which to visit the D-Day sites. Hotel de Brunville met our expectations completely. The room was only 75 Euros, clean and comfortable. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing fancy, but it was pleasant and exactly what we needed. My only complaint is that it was rather hot that night and with... more

Found clerk at desk when I arrived, but she led me over to the other hotel (through the kitchen) to check in. My room was on the top floor of another building, if the airline hadn't lost my luggage, this would have been an issue. Access to the stairs was through a door which had a separate lock that I... more

I don't know what all the fuss is about. The hotel was fine. Alright they charged extra for parking €8/night, pets €8/night and €10/person for a ghastly breakfast...the room was fine. We were booked in room 503 which had a huge balcony. The hotel is prefectly situated as far as restaurants, stores, and a movie theater that shows films in... more

Maybe it was because I booked the room thru Best Western's website, or because I was expecting a horrible experience after reading the reviews, but I thought the hotel was pleasant and worth the price. I knew the front desk people would be at the Luxemburg so that is where I went to check-in. It is also where I went... more

I must reply to some of the bad posts on this hotel recently to say I had a great stay at the Hotel de Brunville. Albeit it was a couple of years ago, and maybe it has gone downhill, but I liked my stay there. I particularly liked the fact that the Hotel was close to the main drag but... more

The hotel is tired. No person at reception. shower leaked and room noisey. went to dinner one evening in the luxenburg next door and had quite a laugh. no salmon in the salmon salad, no items as listed on the menu on the plate and other such things occurred. paid cash and then asked room number to add to bill.... more
