I booked this hotel through Expedia and got a confirmation for our stay shortly thereafter. I was psyched! The next day I received an email from the hotel saying they were booked, but they could reserve a room at a hotel that wasn't as nice (for one of the nights). What a fabulous looking chateau although small by some standards. As we drove into the hotel gardens we were stunned by its beauty. I wish everything had been that simple. Just a quick walk from the center of town in Bayeux. Lovely spacious rooms, attentive service and very good food. Re-decoration in progress while we were there, but generally unobtrusive. I stayed here two nights while touring the D-Day beaches. We got a duplex room in the outbuilding. The restaurant was very nice, empty and the food was good. The hotel is quiet, slightly off the beaten path, grounds are very well kept. Some renovation was going on while we were there but it was not disruptive.
