Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was great, upstairs room was simple, but the salon was beautiful, a great place to relax and meet other travelers. Robes for the short trip from the upstairs bedroom to the bathroom would be helpful for those of us who try to pack light. Great location to walk into town for dinner. more

Clos de Bellefontaine gets a full score in every category. The atmosphere is lovely - very homely and welcoming. The decor is so elegant, the bedroom spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is immense - the table was piled high with pastries, fruit and cereal. A huge amount of effort has gone into ensuring that the needs of guests are... more

As accomodation goes in Bayeux, and taking price, proximity to the town and quality of rooms, you just won't do better with Clos de Bellefontaine. From Carole's welcome to the high standard of the main bedroom with it's 3 large windows giving the room a real 'airy' appeal, classically but tastefully decorated, and a wonderful sitting room to call your... more

Location perfect, My husband was pleased to park his car off the road. Our room was a lovely size, very clean. We had the use of the lounge but didnt use as too busy taking in the sights of Bayeux, and our room was nice enough to relax in anyway. Breakfast was lovely and fresh, and plenty to choose from. more

We highly recommend the B&B Clos de Bellefontaine in Bayeux. We spent several days there and had a very nice room, with a very comfortable bed and garden views. We were greeted by our host Mr. Mallet who showed us to our room and explained how the gate worked. We met our hostess Mme Mallet the next day. She had... more

Unfortunately our stay was a short one, but there was still time to soak in this stylish 19th century home and linger over a very generous breakfast of fresh fruit, muesli, local cheese and delicious home-made apple tart. More family home than hotel (watch out for the kids' pet rabbit!) this charming B&B is the perfect place to rest -... more

We really enjoyed our stay there. There's a private parking, all the major sites are in a walking distance. The owners are a charming couple and they were very helpful in planning our trip. Great breakfasts. more

My friend and I travelled to visit the D-Day landing beaches. Having arrived at Caen & visited the beaches nearby, the Clos de Bellefontaine in Bayeux appeared the ideal spot to stay. We were not disappointed!! A wonderful family home on the outskirts of Bayeux, but only about 5 minutes walk from the centre. The welcome from Carole Mallet was... more

The gracious hospitality of our hosts, Carole and Jerome Mallett enhanced the experience of our stay in a B&B. We were travelling with our 13 year old grandson and the spacious room was much appreciated as was the "common" room. Amenities, including beverages and snacks throughout the day in the common room added to the "home away from home" feeling.... more

My family spent two nights at this beautiful bed and breakfast and enjoyed every minute. The house itself is wonderful and the rooms are spacious. The common sitting room is very large and well stocked with teas, coffees and other snacks. The location is excellent (especially for exploring the D-day sites) and within walking distance of downtown restaurants and attractions.... more
