Booked an excellent value one night inclusive ferry and hotel with Brittany Ferries. Hotel very central overlooking the yacht harbour Port du Plaisance. Adjoining and sharing some facilities with the Hotel Mercure (which looked much nicer). This hotel was minimal travelodge style. Clean and quiet but very basic. Breakfast buffet was included and wasn't bad. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Well situated hotel for the city and sights. Secure underground parking and room clean and comfortable. Reception staff and waitresses friendly, welcoming and efficient. Staff let down by bar staff. On both nights we were unable to get a second drink as staff had disappeared although it was before 10pm and the bar was still open. Would stay here again... More

Have stayed here four times in the last year. The rooms are pretty dull, but fine for business (about the same as a Travel Inn). The staff were great. Let me check in at 7:30am - straight off the ferry - without additional charge. On another occasion they happily moved my room so I could get a better wifi signal... More

Rooms 'compact but adeqaute. Good beds and showers and a TV with a very low volume threshold - could hardly hear it, but that's my age. For overnighting OK - clean, good AC. This hotel is very basic (as we all know Ibis), but quite good. Rooms (and bathroom) are typical Ibis-style, but not small (as it might be sometimes in an Ibis hotel) The location of this hotel is excellent. Near to the city center of Caen. This hotel is handy for everything a tourist would want to do , shops, restaurants site seeing are all within walking distance.you can leave your car in the undergound car park but its pricey at 10 euros a night though.The room was a bit small but adequate and the English speaking receptionists were friendly and helpfull if a little economical... We returned to Caen after 7 years and wanted to stay near the marina. The IBIS hotel was perfect for that purpose. The staff were helpful and attentive. Everything we could ask for really. We would definetly stay again
