Just come back from a 4 night stay at this hotel and for a 2 star it is absolutely fine. Food, service and cleanliness are good. It is about 10 minutes on an inexpensive tram into the center of Caen but overall it is a good base for touring the area. more

This was booked by People 2 People for our Student Delegates, and it was deplorable, no air, stopped up comodes, locks did not work, sheets filthy and treatment was horrible. The p2p Leaders didn't seem to be able to talk to management. This hotel needs a serious upgrade. more

This is a badly run hotel, used mostly by Brits with indifferent staff, some of whom can speak no English at all. The Hotel Clarine, Caen is used by Leger Holidays on the D Day Landings coach tour. Nice hotel, and has a 2 star rating. Rooms fairly small, and with shower only, no bath in the en suite .
