On arriving at the La Loggia, we could not find the reception at all until a guest had pointed out it was on the other side of the street in another hotel! The receptionist was very helpful and showed us to the room, even stopping to help us with our luggage. Her English was nonexistent; therefore knowledge of French is necessary. I cannot fault in any way the service; she was kind, friendly and provided us with Maps and ideas for our stay in Deauville.
We were given an inventory on our entrance to the room so that we may tick off what items were left by the previous owners and what items the management assumed we might steal on our departure. Since this form was written in crude English, it was practically impossible to fill it out coherently as we could not stop laughing at items such ‘Burn out Bread’, ‘Wet Salad bits’ and ‘Shooting Cork’.
