We chose this hotel based on reviews but mostly on location. It was within walking distance of the marina, which is what we needed. That is, I think, the only positive thing to be said.

There is obviously work being done. If you go up the main flight of stairs, the rooms are located off a hallway to the right. To the left were double doors where the construction work was taking place. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday night. You would think they might have bothered to vacuum up the dirt and dust that had so obviously accumulated on the stairs and landing. But no, you could even clearly make out the shoe prints of the workers boots in the white dust. It was still that way when we finally checked out at 9am the following morning.

The rooms of the people in our group were all similarly depressing: dark, bare white walls and used dark blue carpet. In ours there was a chair so stained that I didn't even want to lean my suitcase against it. The bed was lumpy and the sheets... more
