My husband and I stayed at this hotel as part of a 3 week tour around France – we hadn’t pre-planned or booked anything, so all the hotels we stayed at were found along the way. If you’re doing a similar trip, I’d suggest picking up a Logis or Inter-Hotel guide (any hotel affliated to these 2 groups will have a full guide you can take away), as this was our starting point for finding hotels – all were about 2-star grade (equivalent to 3-star in UK).
This was our 1st night and, after a long day's travelling, we decided to just look for a standard "chain" hotel with a car park to crash for the night (especially as it was bucketing down with rain!) and do some planning for the rest of the trip.
We thought an Ibis would be a safe bet, but were pretty disappointed. Compared to the Mercure in the same complex, the rate seemed very reasonable although not cheap by any means (€85 with tax). The room was fine, if a little small. The bar/restaurant area was...
