We (an Australian couple) spent five nights here. The house is a Seventeenth Century half-timbered construction, four storeys high; the accommodation is a room on the third floor. The stairway to the third floor is quite wide, & it is not steep; the steps themselves are wide & safe. The room is small without being cramped, likewise the ensuite bathroom,... More

Small room in attic, window looks out onto roof tiles, did not feel clean or comfortable. Very concerned about fire risk,2 locked doors and 4 steep flights of stairs to street level. For 90€ a night very expensive despite the good location. The website gives an impression of a large elegant apartment,it is not.

We stayed two nights with Daniel Paterne, a kindly French gentleman of another era who speaks flawless English. This is truly a unique experience as there is only one room to let and he lives in the rest of the "apartment". Warning: there is no sign on the door indicating this is a B&B and there are several flights of... More

We stayed at au Micocoulier for three nights in July 2012 The medieval building is charming and furnished with antiques and is very central to all the sights of Rouen. However the room is tiny and so is the bathroom. Breakfast consisted of jams, bread and croissants. At 90 euros a night its expensive for what it is. However Daniel... More

This is a great bed and breakfast in old center Rouen. Your host, Daniel, is very welcoming and a wealth of knowledge. We stayed 3 nights in this 17th century home and didn't want to leave. Yes, the stairs are worth the stay! We were steps from Cathedral St. Maclou, two blocks from Rouen Cathedral Notre Dame, and close to... More

We stayed one night in this beautiful accommodation and we can't offer but great comments: it is in the centre of the town, only 100 metres away from the cathedral and very close to all restaurants, monuments and markets. The host was very polite, caring about how his guests feel. He is willing to tell you about the town and... More

Centraly located B&B in an old authentic 3 story house. Antiques, paintings, comfortable, clean, well heated bedroom. A delightful host with charm and stories to tell, if you inquire. Wish I had stayed two days. Fabulous breakfast in the most beautiful sitting room. Make sure you sit in there to enjoy the atmosphere and art. Downside was the stairs if you... More

We stayed one night in Rouen and the location here was very convenient. The owner was very nice and kindly accomodated our last minute stay. The room was simple but fine for one night's stay. The house is charming and interesting. There were a few flights of stairs to come up just fyi in case you have a lot of... More
