Great price, great location, very charming lobby and breakfast room. As for the room, it was 1940's style, but not in a cool, retro or kitschy way, more in an old folks home, hospital kind of way. Too bad, it looked out onto the hotel's peaceful courtyard, but it really felt like there was no effort whatsoever given to design... more

Ideal location for exploring Rouen for a short stay. Very helpful English speaking staff, even elaborated on a light show taking place in the city that evening (don’t miss it- spectacular!) Very pretty courtyard. Somewhat hard bed, although for 75 euro a pretty decent room. Room was clean and fine, but bathroom has a severely peeling ceiling. Carpet in common... more

Superb little hotel in the middle of Rouen. Very french, traditional decor, wonderful buffet breakfast. Great location once there, but no parking, so you need to park in the public car parks that can be a little pricey, but not an issue for us. more

We spent one night in this hotel on our trip to France. What a wonderful surprise!!! We had booked several 2 star hotels due to the weak dollar. We decided we would never do that again. This hotel exceeded all of our expectations. First, of all we were greeted with a genuine smile. Nathalie was more than helpful - she... more

The hotel is located close to sights; however, it is on a road blocked to cars and parking is a healthy walk away (a good three blocks or more). Their website does mention this, but it wasn't re-iterated in the confirmation, so I was not aware in advance. This made for a very stressful arrival. Room was very small, and... more

Wonderful location, perfectly adequate rooms, great courtyard with a delicious tea and cakes served in the afternoon. Fantastic breakfast, with a huge choice that includes cheese and fruit, served as a buffet in a large attractive dining room looking out onto the courtyard. The best breakfast we had in France. We didn't have dinner here, but the menu looked good.... more

Like stepping back to the 1950s. A surly receptionist, shabby rooms with parts falling off, plywood walls, filthy carpets and furniture, cluttered corridors - we thought several times of moving on but it was on our way home so we toughed it out. more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rouen. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of all the local attractions and plenty of great cafes and restaurants. The room was basic but clean. As an added bonus, they offer free internet access from the reception area which is a great opportunity to contact home! The staff were more than helpful... more

This hotel was very hard to find since it is well hidden in the old city near the main cathedral. You cannot pull up to the door to unload, but there is an elevator. Parking is several blocks away in the a public parking area and is expensive. The owners speak adequate English and were very accommodating. the hotel is... more

Simple and charming, decorated and furnished in a lovely old Frence style. Particulary impressed by the lovely bed and bed linen, though the room itself was pretty plain it was very clean and the bathroom was a good size. The lady at reception was terribly friendly, but she was about the only staff we saw. Breakfast was really rather ordinary, with... more
