Three of us stayed for a night in one of the triple rooms. Plenty of space, nice bathroom and comfortable beds. We were going to arrive after the 8pm closure, but we rang the hotel and were given a code of entry, and had no problems at all. Nice breakfast with friendly staff and a lovely old bulding. Be aware... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Morand. It is only a 5 min. walk from the station, situated in a quiet area and only minutes away from everything you want to see in Rouen. It is indeed an old building without elevator, but the room and bathroom with separate toilet were nice nevertheless and the bedding good. One small negative... More

We love Normandy (well France really) and just going somewhere to chill out, maybe some exploring, maybe just sitting in a cafe. Rouen does not have a whole lot going on, but it is lovely. The hotel...we have stayed in quite a few budget hotels in France (& elsewhere) but we like to stay somewhere that's not totally budget but... More

Stayed here for one night alone and chose it (booking.com) as it looked very olde worlde and had a good price. The location isn't bad at all, it's only about 5 minutes walk at most to the Rue Gros Horlage and there is a massive underground car park very close if you can't get a place on the street. The... This hotel feels like a carton box - you can hear every creak all around you, you can even hear the water running through the plumbing when the other guests wash. And the horrible beds don'help you sleep, either. Plus, it doesn't have an elevator, so you'd better not take along much luggage. On the bright side, it's well located,... More

I don't understand your remark concerning the beds as i just have changed in july 7 complete beds on the seventeen of the hotel.Of... More

This is the kind of hotel I would have been satisfied with when hitchhiking around Europe between my junior and senior years of college. The staff and welcome are delightful but the hotel is showing its age; rooms and beds and baths are in need of upgrading. That being said, let's accentuate the positive: great location, delicious breakfast and eager-to-please... More

The Hotel Morand has its pluses and its minuses. At the top of the list of pluses is location. It is a very close walk from the train station and only a few blocks from downtown. Also, the new owner was very helpful, and seems to have big plans for his hotel. The rooms are a bit cramped and a... More
