Rude staff, threating to increase the price as we disagreed with the original price due to 24hr Dirty room, fraying towels, Burn mark on radiator, no aircon. I opened the window but its traffic noise. I would add that Walking back to the hotel at night would be frightening for a female on her own The Bed is 6 in from the floor with the thinnest mattress, the pillows are really thin,. You have to stand outside the shower to soap and go back in to rinse. The elevator is questionable. The Breakfast was very basic, but the croissants, Pain au Chocolates were warm, there is a refreshing orange juice machine was nice. We booked it in January as it was opposite the office we were working in, which happened to be LeMans 24 so they bumped the price. I went back to Paris after this stay and paid the same price in the Hilton for 1 night

We stayed here for two nights and looked at the reviews after booking and were worried expecting the worse. We were pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable. Decent white bedding. We were on the back of hotel so nice and quiet It’s not the ritz but it’s a good standard for 2 star quite similar to many 3 stars we’ve stayed at. Nice big room with fridge microwave 2 ring hob. Next to train station and only 20 minute walk to the old town so good location. Parking free outside from 7 pm to 9 am but plenty of paid parking nearby. Reception staff friendly and helpful. For a cheap and cheerful I’d stay again.

Firstly the reviews on TA aren't great but the prices are about right for what you get. The place when we visited a few weeks ago as part of a motorbike trip to the area was undergoing some refurbs. That said the room was clean/tidy and perfectly fine for 2 smelly bikers. The shower was hot with clean towels. The twin beds were comfortable. The lift worked to all floors. The dining room if you paid extra for breakfast was again clean/modern and perfectly good. (I suspect this had already been done up). There is a vending machine in the dining room available 24/7. Staff were helpful and speak good English. The hotel is located about 500 metres from La Gare (train station) and the local tram stop (20 mins and about 7 stops takes you directly to the Le Mans race track and cost about 6 euros per return trip. Just beyond the station concourse are a few bars/basic food shops and largely kebab café/restaurants. If you want other cuisine continue into town. If you want a cheap place to explore the area this is just fine. PS a 24 hour petrol station is about 500 metres the other way so great for filling up before you leave. PPS If you come by bike/motorbike you can park outside on the pavement without issue/payment as we did. Cars must pay in a local car park I think

Well it's definitely not the Ritz and for one nights stay compared with our previous nights accomdation it was definitely a step up. Frustrating that basic cleaning isn't able to be accomplished especially when you're asked to clean the kitchen yourself otherwise you're charged additional fee! Clearly they don't check because we had to clean the cutlery before using them because they were sticky and dirty! Cobwebs all round the room, thick enough to make a blanket, grubby underneath the sink, dusty and dirty around edging etc... Just cleanliness in general! Bed was comfy and warm and the staff were accomdating and friendly.

First of all I would like to say the staff were more than helpful & the breakfast was ok. However, the bedroom can only be classed as the WORST I have EVER stayed in, in any county. I can only describe it as extremely basic, tired & the smell from the bathroom needs to be experienced to be believed. I only stayed one night & then checked out my family the very next morning to another hotel the Ibis next to the station up the road. I would like to know where the rooms are as shown on their web site, as our two booked rooms were certainly NOT like shown !!!!

I stayed here for four nights. Reception was OK no hassles although it turns out there is no free parking on site regardless of what the booking states. Street parking is limited and expensive at €3 for two hours, far better and cheaper to use the underground car park further up the road. The rooms are basic and in need of refurbishment. The only pluses are the fridge and microwave. The rooms are en suite however the shower in my room had seen better days. There is the option to have breakfast but at nearly €10 its not worth it. There is also a vending machine on site with limited choice. There is no air conditioning and the room is ventilated by one window which opens on to a very noisy road. Its cheap but by no means cheerful.

We stayed here after camping for a week at the 24 hours of Le Mans race. the little apartment is great. We were not looking for serious luxury. We were looking for a clean room, hot shower and honestly, a roof that was not a tent ! the receptionist was very helpful. there is limited parking, but if you have hired your car with eurocar, it is just along the block. this is a budget option but cant be faulted for location. few hundred meters from the tgv/ rail station and tram stop. is excellent value considering how some places really hike up the prices for the race event. If your going for 24 Hours of Le mans, book in advance but there did appear to be rooms available when i checked in even tho i had booked up 8 months before

We started our three weeks summer holiday in Le Mans and to be really honest we didn't need to be in the apartment that much as there was so much to do and see in Le Mans. So although we'd read the reviews - and thought it might be a bit of a risk - we took it and we were not disappointed at all. We found the hotel quite easily and as we arrived after 6.30 in the evening, parking outside was available but we knew we had to move the car early the next morning as the charges on street were extortionate. The receptionist was friendly and helpful recommending local parking as an alernative to the street for the next day. Fortunately we discovered that by driving out to the University shopping centre, which is also a terminus for the trams, we were able to park the car all day, use the fabulous trams, all day as many journeys as we could fit in and the charge was less than 5 Euros. We stayed two nights and the room wasn't made up or towels changed but as we weren't staying in a '5*' hotel, paying those prices we were more than happy. The kitchenette was well equipped with essentials. We had a very comfortable bed - unlike other Apparts with very uncomfortable sofa beds! We'll be back.

Update to original review: In the past, there were limited times for reception/check-in, but this appears to have been extended and there was somebody available most times, as far as I could see. The rooms are looking a little more worn, these days, and the beds are not the most comfy. The rooms can also get very warm in the hot weather (no aircon, remember). In fact, air circulation seems a little poor throughout, and smells from in-room cooking can accumulate in the hotel. Note that, as far as I am aware, whilst the room will be cleaned and made up with fresh linen etc for your arrival, once let, your room is not then cleaned and/or made up any further during your stay, and so you will need to consider this if your stay is for longer than 1 night. If you want room cooling then there are other hotels nearby that might offer similar rates, with aircon. But, if that's not a problem, and you get a good rate, then it is still a good budget option pretty close to the centre of town. As for getting between the hotel and the centre of town, if you walk from the hotel, then you will more than likely use the tunnel through the railway station. Be aware that this tunnel does not open 24 hours and you may need to walk around if you miss those opening hours. Apart from that, the original review still stands. Original Review - November 2007 OK.. It's a little spartan.. it certainly is not a luxury hotel.. This is more a block of small apartments for day/week/month rent as opposed to a hotel.. but the prices more than reflect this.. So.. You have a little apartment that contains a sofa/bed.. desk.. shower/wc and a kitchenette with fridge, hotplates, sink and microwave.. if you need a working base for a few days or short term let, eating out mainly with the ability to prepare a snack/coffee in the room.. this is a good option.. If you want a service hotel, you may look elsewhere.. Parking is a little restricted, especially this year as Le Mans is being dug up for a new tramway system.. But there is an underground car park by the station, a few hundred metres walk from the hotel.. Breakfast is standard continental fare.. but it's only 5 euros or so.. I think this is excellent value for money.. Liked — Price and willingness of staff to help.. Disliked — no air con.. but that's not uncommon in france.. Stayed June 2007, traveled on business

the hotel is conviently located next to the train station. If you are a light sleeper, do not stay as it is very noisy. Also, it was not very clean or up to date.
