If you're looking for a cosy hotel, this isn't it. However, La Perouse is a well-run hotel in a good location - centre of town, right next to a tram stop - with an interesting modern feel. The rooms are all wood and glass, and feel somewhat bare. No comfy chairs here. Breakfast is fine if nothing special. Staff helpful.... more

The rooms are very modern and a good size for a city centre hotel. It is well located for sight seeing and there are numerous bars, cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk. My daughter and I stayed in this pleasant hotel for one night and we wished it had been longer. Rooms are eco-friendly and simply furnished. Bathrooms are spotless (check the groovy washbasin!).
