This was a nice room, very clean if a bit small and crowded. Lots of dark panelling which didn't help. Receptionist had good enough English and recommended a good downtown,crepes cafe, La Bigouden, for supper. Booked through Hotel.com for 3 night stay, got small room on 3rd floor. Room was modern with all necessary facilities for short stay. Located on island in middle of Loire, a short walk across road bridge took you into the centre of Saumur where there were plenty of restaurants and bars.
