It is a good location easy walking distance to the main town with great views for the river and the chateau. Our bedroom was fine but some it seems were a bit small. Staff friendly. Breakfast was good too. Excellent value for money.

Just stayed one night on our trip down south. Location of the hotel is very nice and calm, view from the riverside rooms is spectacular. Very good breakfast and very friendly and charming staff. Not luxurious but well kept and good value for the money.

We enjoyed a stopover in Saumur, and after six nights in a tent it was good to find a bed! The room was fine if not huge, and breakfast was acceptable. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre, but we had a wander in the evening and the morning and enjoyed the meal we ate.

We found this hotel by chance as a stopover en-route from Caen to Bordeaux; the receptionist was extremely helpful in finding us a room suitable for our family, which happened to face on to the River Loire with a view of the castle and the bridge close by.
