Surprised this isn't higher up the ratings as I was very impressed with it. Booked it on the spur of the moment, having not planned to stay overnight in La Rochelle. We trawled the old town beforehand and plumped for this because of the lovely views of the port. The location is fantastic - everything right on your doorstep. And... more

Nice hotel with view of harbor and towers. Just walk outside and you are in the middle of all the outside dining facilities. We had coffee and tea in our room. The rooms are nice, the bath real nice with large tub. At night the towers are lit up and it is a breath taking view from your window. Be... more

I did not make a prior reservation because I wanted to see the room first. Luckily, they had one looking out onto the port, but with small windows and no balcony (only two rooms have balconies). However, the room was large, very nicely furnished, with an excellent bath. I found it to be very comfortable, although not really worth 130... more

No staff to help with cases and the hotel does not offer the option of a coffe sachets in the room for an early morning drink, only earl grey tea. Who drinks this... more

Stayed at this hotel in June this year this was graded as a three star and by British comparison had a guest house feel. Having said this there are no larger Hilton type hotels in this area and having been there I wouldnt want there to be. La Rochelle was superb. Plenty restaurants, bars, shopping, beach and numerous other things... more

very dissapointed in the sparsley furnished room 413 next to seminar rooms and overlooking the rear. This is not a courtyard it's a rubbish dump with huge vents from cooking areas. Not worth the money, poor toiletries and had to ask for the room to be serviced and towels changed. The smell from the fish preparation area at the entrance... more

If you are looking to stay in La Rochelle this hotel is in a great location and a clean and friendly atmophere. However, I must stay the web site pictures are a little bit deceptive and the rooms are not quite as nice as they appear to be on the site. I had also picked this hotel to stay here... more

Stayed here for a night in one of the harbour-facing suites December 2007. Room was ok but a little underfurnished for the price. No porters or bar/restaurant in the hotel. But worse was parking - in an open-air paid parking area over 600 yds away from the hotel. My wife and I had to run a relay race to get... more
