This hotel is centrally located on a quiet road. one one of the many one-way systems in La Rochelle. the staff were welcoming and helpful. My single room was very small, due to the 3/4 size bed. The bed was well used and you rolled into a hollow and had to climb out! For a single traveller I consider it... more

I stayed there for two nights in January 2008. The location is good, in the heart of the old city of La Rochelle. However, the room I got was smelling tobacco very badly, and except for the renovated bathroom, looked a bit old. more

We stayed two nights at this hotel. On the plus side, the location was great. We weren't impressed apart from that. The room was small, bed was very uncomfortable and tiny, and there was a very musty smell in the room. It was a bit dingy, squashed mosquitos on the wall, light not working, dark and dank corridor leading to... more

This hotel is very clean, recently renovated to judge by some of the reviews here and the staff are helpful at all times. Free internet by reception. We had a nice room at the back of the hotel - not huge but attractively French with a view over the back. We didn't eat breakfast - you can do that in... more

We stayted in the hotel for 3 nights in a triple room and it was excellent, The hotel room was very clean and there was plenty of room for the 3 of us. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel was about 3 -4 minutes from the centre by foot which was good as it was really... more

Stayed in this Hotel in late October 2006. Having read some of the other reviews on here I was expecting better. Somebody said Hotel was tired looking and this probably best describes it. We found the rooms very dark and dreary. The location is good near the Port. They provide limited Private Parking at €10 a night. During busy periods... more

This is a great location, right in the heart of the shops, market & near the port where there are loads of lively bars and restaurants (Chez Fred a particularly good fish restaurant). Our room was clean and quiet, we overlooked the back of the hotel. There is no a/c so it may be very hot in the summer but... more

This hotel is within walking distance of the shops and the harbour, so the use of the prebooked car park was worth it. The rooms were small and the bathrooms tiny, and the decor was very tired. However it had considerable character, was clean and quiet as well as convenient, so for a short stay I would recommend it. I... more

You fail to fully appreciate how beautiful this town is until about two minutes after arriving. The architecture is outstanding and period, the shops are plenty, the bars and restaurants reasonable. The new aquarium was a bit of a walk but if you're into that it was brilliant. The hotel was a good location in the centre and our rooms... more

The hotel was in a great location just few mins walk from shops and harbour but quiet enough to get good nights sleep. Lots of rooms were under renovation but the one we had (12) was basic but great for 80 euros. It overlooked a small courtyard. Would go back again because the location and price makes up for its... more
