This is a good, clean, modern hotel which makes an excellent base in La Rochelle. It is about a ten minute easy walk to the old town. The Masqhotel doesn't deserve 3 stars .... it deserves at least 4 and would get it I would think if it served meals other than breakfast and room snacks. Our room was spacious - we paid for an executive room so this may have been why. The minimalist style meant that it felt cool and relaxed. About a dozen of us stayed at the Masqhotel to attend a wedding about an hour north of La Rochelle in the countryside.
