Excellent location between the very grand railway station and the harbour. We loved La Rochelle. This hotel is OK, rooms are a bit small, decor a bit tired but a fair price and as a convenient base to sleep in it is fine. If I was looking for a hotel to spend some time in there must be better ones more

Beautifully refurbished 1950's moderne hotel in a nautical theme. Friendly, helpful English-speaking staff. Fantastic 7 euro breakfast with smoked salmon, pastries, fruit, cheeses, etc. Best hotel value we saw in France, 2 nights at this clean fresh quiet hotel was not enough! An easy stroll to everything including the train so no need for taxis. Ask for a balcony room. more
