Right across the little bridge in front of hotel are the best mussels in town (and almost next door all the English papers). Staff friendly. Rooms small but clean with wifi etc. Great cheap, rocking student bar around the corner to the right. Harbor entrance right in front.

This centrally located hotel has a wonderful view of the harbour. The complimentary breakfast is a bonus. The hotel room missing basics like plug for bath, hair dryer, and air conditioning. The Pros - location, location, location. The hotel is across the road from all the cafes and restaurants and right beside the old Port. You couldn't get more central. We stayed here for one night and were really impressed. You get what you pay for: the rooms are small and basic but very clean. We had a lovely view over the harbour. The hotel is situated smack in the middle of the old port of La Rochelle. The reception welcome was very friendly and very helpful. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant. The hotel location was perfect - right next to the main harbour - The road is closed off in the evenings for pedestrians and street entertainment.
