We arrived in Aix quite late and caught Luc in the middle of a dinner party, but he was most welcoming. The rooms were quiet and clean. Breakfast was always a wonderful treat and very substantial. Sitting in the patio area and enjoying breakfast, meeting people from all over the world, that was one of the highlights of our trip. more

Very charming bed and breakfast in the centre of town. We loved our stay and would like to come again. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Some with view over the lovely garden. Welcoming and friendly owner. The breakfast was excellent with home made jam and very good coffee. more

This was a great find. It was perfectly located within a few minutes walk of 'the action' and the suite we had with a lounge, bedroom, bathroom & separate toilet really suited our requirements. Luc (the host) was absolutely great and he makes fantastic strawberry jam which we had with our breakfast on the patio....mmmmm! When we asked him if... more

L'epicerie was the perfect end to a wonderful 2 week trip in Provence. We have already recommended it to all our friends and are looking forward to staying there again when we next visit Aix. Luc is not only a mastermind in the kitchen, he is also the very definition of the perfect host. We had the most delicious 3... more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and will come back next time we are in Aix-en-Provence. Luc was wonderful, extremely hospitable, and helped us find good restaurants! He served the most delicious and fresh breakfasts. Coffee was served in bowls along with fresh bread. We had a provencal salad one morning with warm goat cheese. We had... more

L’épicerie is a little gem. It is located on a quiet street north of the Cours Mirabeau. Our room, «Le Calisson» overlooks the beautiful courtyard. Our room was clean, roomy and comfortable with an en-suite, a sitting room and air conditioning. What makes L’épicerie such a wonderful place to stay are not only the great location, lovely décor and luxurious... more

I stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. Charming room, delicious breakfasts and extremely well-located near tourist sites in the center of the old town. Make sure you have a good map if you are walking from the central bus station (12-15 min. on foot) but after the first time you will see how accessible it is. This would... more

You can't go wrong with a room at L'epicerie! Great central location and QUIET. We stayed in the Vanilla room overlooking the charming garden hearing the soothing sounds of the fountain and birdsong. The room is simple and elegant, the bathroom is very nice with the most wonderful shower. The home made breakfast is top notch and served outside if... more

I was lucky enough to get a room here during a very busy time last year. I was floored by the our host Luc and his beautiful property and the fantastic breakfast! I usually skip breakfast but I could not wait to see what was next. Luc was very helpful with places to eat in Aix and even Avignon and... more

Wonderful hotel with very reasonable prices for Aix. Very clean rooms furnished beautifully in traditional provencal style with lovely bathrooms fitted with fabulous rain showers. Luc the host is very warm and friendly and cooks a different fresh breakfast each morning served in the pretty, sunny garden. The hotel is very central, situated in the old town, but occupies a... more
