One of the things I love about travel is learning about cultures different to my own. As part of that learning I love to immerse myself in the culture of my destination. I try and follow the old adage, "when in Rome ..." it was disappointing therefore to find a B&B in the middle of Provence with a very American... More

Pavillon de la Torse, Aix-en-Provence, France. Be assured that your selection of this marvelous B&B will be one of your best decisions of your holiday in Provence. Staying here was a highlight of our time in Southern France. As the gates opened and we drove up the corridor of Plane trees towards the majestically restored house, we felt transported into... More

My wife and I stayed at the Pavillon de la Torse for two entire weeks in late September and early October, 2011, while doing day trips by car around Provence. We could not have asked for a better place to stay! The property is gorgeous, the house is beautiful and immaculate, and Francois and Marie are the most helpful, kind,... More

La Torse is a wonderful, beautiful place with very kind and accomodating hosts. The grounds are breathtaking when the gates open at night to the lighted alley of magnificent unpruned sycamores towering overhead. It is well-located just 3 minutes from the expressway, yet only about a 15 minute walk to Cours Maribeau and the Vielle Ville on a lit and... More

Marie and Francois have put a lot of love, effort, and pride into their B&B and are warm and welcoming. They provided us with a list of recommended restaurants and a map and offered helpful suggestions for day trips. We stayed at Pavillon de la Torse for three nights in October and enjoyed our lovely room, the beautiful home and... More

We feel very fortunate that we chose Marie & Francois' beautiful B&B. Everyone we asked at the B&B said that they found Pavillon de la Torse on tripadvisor.com as we did! From the moment we arrived Marie & Francois were the consummate hosts. Our room and bathroom were quite large and comfortable. The entire house is immaculate! Breakfasts were delicious... More

We stayed two nights in this beautiful house. Marie and Francois are putting a lot of effort into maintaining the gorgeous french garden with a little fountain, swimming pool and a welcoming row of 200 years old trees. Our stay here was perfect, good location, nice room with view to the garden, yummy breakfast and our hosts were very helpful... More

Marie and Francois offered a very warm and gracious welcome to us when we arrived at their lovingly restored home after a long drive. We appreciated the appetizers and wine they served during their "happy hour" and we received some nice restaurant suggestions for dinner. Our room, Margaux, had a beautiful view of the grounds and was very quiet at... More

Pavillon de la Torse is a truly splendid house set in a spectacular garden on the outskirts of lovely Aix-en-Provence. We stayed for 4 nights in mid October 2011 and have nothing but praise. Our room (Pomerol) was charming, spacious, immaculately clean and very comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and varied each day. On some evenings the owners, Marie and Francois,... More

We have recently spent ten days at the Pavillon de la Torse and could not recommend it more highly. The house, lovingly restored, exudes genuine French country charm and comfort. The rooms are clean, airy, quiet and very comfortable. The house is surrounded by beautiful and welcoming gardens harking back to previous centuries. The Pavillon is away from the hustle... More
