The rooms are pricey at the Grand Hotel Nord Pinus, but the ambiance and charm are worth it. I would add that the central location on the Place du Forum is a bonus and a great base for a stay in Arles. The room was clean and well-appointed, and the bathroom clean and spacious as well. The bathtub was clogged... more

I have to agree with a previous reviewer - we liked the hotel - it was very characterful and we got a good idea of what it must have been like in its glory days - but you pay for it! The rooms could be upgraded and improved and I think this could be done without spoiling their charm. We... more

Stayed two nights at the Nord Pinus in Arles. While there is no fault to the decor of the hotel, it is really lacks the amenities (no pool, no modern appliances etc.) to command the high prices that it charged. As there were 3 of us travelling together, we were given Room 11 which had two bedrooms and a view... more

We loved this hotel! The decor is fascinating and eclectic; each guest room is different and both the rooms and public spaces are outfitted with art and antiques bought at auction. It is full of fascinating treasures, such as the photographs by Peter Beard that line the walls of the bar.The atmosphere is wonderful, the rooms comfortable, and the service... more

Top price for a 4mtr by 4mtr room where you can't open the wardrobe door because the bed is in the way and you are afraid to open the shutters for fear they may fall off. This Hotel is a grand looking building but a bit stuffy and old fashioned which in its self is no problem but I would... more

Found this hotel as featured in "Living in Provence" book. Many famous people have stayed here,I'm not surprised it's wonderful. We stayed one night, but wished we'd booked 2/3 nights. Fantastic staff, especially the lady manager. Our room, although very reasonable was very comfortable, air con and ceiling fan. Very comfortable bed! Huge bathroom, although no proper shower? Can't wait... more

This is a beautiful and historic hotel - lots of previous famous guests. Its position on the Place de Forum is great, although a little tricky to drive to if you use the garage facilities. Sitting outside in the Place having breakfast is a great experioence - and in our opinion the best croissants of our holiday. This isn't, however,... more

The hotel was really delightful. It sits right in the middle of Place du Forum with its many lovely restaurants and cafes. Our room was almost like an apartment. Christine who manages the hotel was so helpful to us. She helped us make arrangements when our trip needed to be changed and was really very kind. We will be back... more
