Renovated in the typical new Novotel style - cosy colours, comfortable beds etc. Friendly and helpful receptionists. Nice restaurant with a very good chef and smiling service staff. The property was typical of most Novotels – well kept, friendly toward families, 10-15 minutes (by car) from most interesting attractions. Room rate was reasonable, staff was friendly but not too knowledgeable about area outside of Avignon, and the pool was cool and refreshing. Novotel is usually a brand you can trust when traveling with children. more

We both travel a lot for business and pleasure in Europe, and were very disappointed with this particular hotel. We had an old, shabby room to sleep in. Bathroom was a disaster: shower didn't work properly, toilet area smelled terrible. They were full and we couldn't get another room. Stayed here twice in 2005. Unremarkable the first time, confirmed this the second time I stayed. The hotel is in the suburbs of Avignon, not really close to the centre. Rooms are old and shabby, breakfast average. Due to stay in Avignon again soon, would not consider staying here unless I had to. more
